Engineering Majors Declaration Day

The Faculty of Engineering at October University for Modern Sciences and Arts is organizing the 8th Round of the annual “Engineering Majors Declaration Day”, dedicated to students who will be declaring their majors during the Fall 2026 semester.

The event aims to guide students through the major declaration process by providing valuable academic and professional insights into the Faculty’s different engineering majors, including CES, ASE, ISE, MSE, ECE, and CSE.

During the event, Faculty academic staff members will deliver informative sessions introducing each major, its academic pathways, career opportunities, and market relevance. Students will also receive an overview of the majors declaration regulations and practical guidance on preparing for future career demands and industry expectations.

MSA MWHO Organizes Awareness Session on Hand Hygiene and Infection Control Campaign 2026

The Simulation Model of the World Health Organization (MWHO) at the Faculty of Pharmacy, October University for Modern Sciences and Arts (MSA University), is organizing an awareness session titled: “Hand Hygiene and Its Role in Infection Control”

This initiative comes as part of the faculty’s ongoing efforts to promote public health awareness and align student activities with global health priorities and the World Health Organization’s agenda.

The session will be delivered by Dr. Ahmed Askar, Head of the Infection Control Unit at Ahl Masr Hospital, Ph.D. in Medical Microbiology and Immunology, and Infection Control Manager at Ahl Masr Burn Hospital. Dr. Askar will share his expertise on the critical importance of hand hygiene as a fundamental practice in preventing the spread of infections within healthcare settings and the wider community.

The session aims to highlight evidence-based infection control practices, address challenges related to compliance, and emphasize the role of healthcare professionals and students in safeguarding patient safety and promoting community well-being.

This initiative reflects the Faculty of Pharmacy’s commitment to fostering practical educational experiences that bridge academic knowledge with real-world healthcare practices, while empowering students to contribute effectively to public health awareness and infection prevention efforts.

In conjunction with Down Syndrome Awareness Month, the Department of Pediatrics at the Faculty of Physical Therapy at October University for Modern Sciences and Arts is organizing an awareness campaign entitled: “An Extra Chromosome, An Extra Spark”, aiming to promote awareness, foster inclusion, and strengthen community support for individuals with Down Syndrome, while highlighting the importance of understanding, acceptance, and empowerment within society.

The campaign seeks to educate university students about Trisomy 21, highlight the physical and developmental aspects addressed through physical therapy, and emphasize the abilities, talents, and potential of individuals with Down Syndrome.

Through this initiative, we strive to encourage empathy and compassion, break down common misconceptions, and foster a more inclusive and supportive campus environment. This event also reflects a strong commitment to sustainability and global responsibility, inspiring future healthcare professionals to adopt inclusive practices and advocate for equal opportunities and high-quality care for all, in line with global values.

Bridges of Empowerment – Together Beyond Disability

The Faculty of Physical Therapy at October University for Modern Sciences and Arts (MSA), in collaboration with Al-Bahrain’s “Toast Master El Azzam Club” and the Palestinian Sports Federations and Universities, is pleased to announce the second edition of the international hybrid event held as part of MSA University’s Disability Awareness Week.

This tri-national initiative, “تعاون عربي”, is organized in alignment with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals—SDG 4: Quality Education and SDG 10: Reduced Inequalities. The event aims to promote awareness of the importance of physical activity, inclusion, and the empowerment of individuals with disabilities, irrespective of disability type.

Additionally, this event brings together students, faculty, and para-athletes from Egypt, Bahrain, and Palestine, to celebrate diversity, inclusion, and the transformative power of physical activity in improving quality of life.

Objectives of the event:
1. Raise awareness about the importance of inclusive physical activity for people with disabilities.
2. Promote collaboration between Arab Countries for sustainable disability inclusion initiatives.
3. Highlight success stories of para-athletes and individuals with disabilities to inspire others.
4. Encourage social inclusion and active participation of university staff, students, and guests.
