<p class="wp-block-paragraph">As part of the Food Technology Program activities, students from the Faculty of Nutrition and Food Technology at October University for Modern Sciences and Arts (MSA) participated in an educational field trip to Juhayna Juice Factory (El Dawlya), one of the leading food manufacturing facilities in Egypt.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">During the visit, students were introduced to the full juice production process, from raw material handling to final product packaging. They toured the production lines, learned about quality control and safety procedures, and explored how modern packaging technologies play a vital role in preserving product freshness and ensuring consumer safety.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">The field trip provided students with valuable hands-on exposure to industrial operations, reinforcing the connection between theoretical concepts taught in the classroom and their practical applications in the food industry. This experience contributed to enhancing students’ technical skills and deepening their understanding of real-world manufacturing environments.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">A delegation of 85 engineering students from the Faculty of Engineering at October University for Modern Sciences and Arts (MSA), accompanied by three distinguished faculty members, participated in an academic visit to EDEX 2025 – Egypt Defence Expo, one of the premier defense and security exhibitions in the region.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">During the visit, students were exposed to state-of-the-art technologies and innovative engineering applications across the defense and security sectors. The experience offered a unique opportunity to connect classroom knowledge with real-world applications, allowing students to witness firsthand how engineering principles are implemented in cutting-edge defense solutions.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">The Microbiology and Immunology Department at The Faculty Of Pharmacy At October University For Modern Sciences And Arts (MSA), in collaboration with the Infection Control and Training Departments at Ahl Masr Burn Hospital, organized a comprehensive practical training day for Infection Control Pharmacy students. This activity reflects our continuing commitment to strengthening pharmacists’ contributions to infection prevention practices and enhancing their applied understanding of clinical workflows in healthcare settings.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">During the visit, students observed infection prevention and control procedures across several critical units, including the Emergency Department (ER), Intensive Care Unit (ICU), and Rehabilitation facilities. They also received focused exposure to two essential components of infection control: the Microbiology Laboratory and the Central Sterilization Service Department (CSSD).</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">This training experience provided an important link between theoretical instruction and real-world application, equipping students with deeper insight into the multidisciplinary efforts required to ensure patient safety.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">In line with its commitment to community service and integrating academic learning with practical experience, the Faculty of Physical Therapy at October University for Modern Sciences and Arts (MSA) organized a special field trip to 57357 Children’s Cancer Hospital, one of the largest pediatric oncology centers in Egypt and the Middle East.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">During the visit, students explored the latest advanced physiotherapy techniques used in treating pediatric cancer patients. They gained valuable insights into the critical role of physical and psychological rehabilitation in supporting children’s recovery. Students also had the opportunity to observe the hospital’s working environment, witnessing first-hand the high standards of care, comprehensive services, and the positive, supportive atmosphere that surrounds the children in every corner of the facility.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">The visit included guided tours of various hospital departments and interactive sessions with the children, aimed at spreading positivity and providing psychological support.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">The objectives of this educational visit were to:</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Our Level 5 students from the Faculty of Pharmacy at October University For Modern Sciences And Arts (MSA) enjoyed an enriching field trip to Alandalous Pharmaceuticals as part of the Pharmaceutical Technology II (PHT562) course.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Accompanied by Assoc. Prof. Nihal Elsayyad and TA Salma Assem, the students explored key industrial departments directly related to the production cycle. The visit provided a close-up look at the tablet manufacturing process, starting from raw material handling to granulation, compression, and coating. Students observed how large-scale machinery is used to transform powder blends into high-quality finished tablets with precision and efficiency. In the warehouse, students learned about the organized flow of materials, from receiving and storage to distribution, and how proper handling and controlled conditions support the entire manufacturing operation.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">The Faculty of Physical Therapy at October University for Modern Sciences and Arts (MSA) organized an intensive clinical field visit for Level 5 Neurology students, with the participation of Level 4 Orthopaedics students, to Cleopatra October Hospital on Thursday, November 13th.<br>The visit comes as part of the faculty’s ongoing commitment to embedding experiential learning within academic training and strengthening students’ exposure to modern therapeutic and rehabilitative methodologies.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Throughout the day, students toured several of the hospital’s specialized departments, gaining first-hand insight into evidence-based clinical practices across multiple disciplines. Key units included:</p>



<ul class="wp-block-list">
<li>Hydrotherapy and Lymphatic Rehabilitation Units, where students observed advanced protocols for edema management and functional recovery.</li>



<li>Neuro-Rehabilitation Gym, offering exposure to techniques used in motor relearning and neuromuscular re-education.</li>



<li>Sports Rehabilitation Unit, equipped with the Isokinetic system for performance assessment and rehabilitative conditioning.</li>



<li>Pediatric Rehabilitation and Occupational Therapy Units, highlighting tailored developmental and functional approaches for children with diverse needs.</li>



<li>Sensory Reduction Units, showcasing therapeutic environments designed to support sensory modulation and behavioral regulation.</li>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">In addition to the clinical tour, the visit featured a specialized workshop entitled “Dysphagia from A to Z.”<br>Delivered by distinguished faculty members from MSA’s Neurology Department, the workshop provided students and Cleopatra Hospitals Group specialists with an in-depth exploration of swallowing disorders, covering assessment frameworks, clinical red flags, management strategies, and interdisciplinary intervention approaches.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">The field visit offered a comprehensive, multi-angle perspective on contemporary physiotherapy practice, reinforcing MSA University’s mission to bridge academic excellence with real-world clinical readiness. The visit highlighted the crucial role of physiotherapy in post-operative and post-chemotherapy rehabilitation, particularly in improving patients’ quality of life through specialized physical rehabilitation programs.
