The conference brought together student representatives and leaders from universities across Egypt, creating a dynamic platform for learning, collaboration, and leadership development. Under the slogan, “We lead, we develop, we innovate: Creating an environment for learning and collaboration”, MSA students engaged in a variety of interactive workshops, dialogue sessions, and skill-building discussions designed to enhance their leadership, communication, and teamwork abilities.

During the conference, participants explored topics such as public speaking, negotiation, and fostering diversity within the university environment, while also exchanging experiences and ideas with prominent figures and student leaders from other institutions. This invaluable exposure provided MSA students with practical insights and inspiration to continue driving positive change on campus and beyond.

All participating students will be awarded official certificates of attendance, recognizing their commitment to leadership development and active engagement in shaping the future of student communities.

As part of the initiative, students received a variety of free medical checkups, which included:

Random blood sugar testing

Blood pressure measurement

InBody body composition analysis

Psychological assessment focusing on mental health and academic concentration

In addition to the free services, students also benefited from an exclusive 70% discount on Vitamin D and Insulin Resistance tests — reinforcing the university’s goal of promoting preventive health awareness within the campus community.

The event witnessed remarkable participation from students and faculty members, and was managed professionally by the university’s Medical Administration in collaboration with its strategic partners.

This initiative provided an exceptional opportunity for students to apply their academic knowledge in a professional setting, simulating real-world audit practices and expectations.

The Faculty of Languages at October University for Modern Sciences and Arts (MSA) was thrilled to welcome Laura Woodward from IH Cairo for an engaging session on the renowned Cambridge CELTA.

Laura provided valuable insights into the CELTA course, including its structure, different study modes, and how it equips aspiring teachers with internationally recognized teaching skills. She also shared tips on what to expect from the course and how it can open doors to global teaching opportunities.

Our students were highly engaged, asking plenty of questions about CELTA’s requirements, teaching practice, and career prospects. A huge thank you to IH Cairo and Laura for an inspiring session!

The workshop was led by Dr. Nour Shafik El-Gendy, Professor of Environmental Sciences and General Supervisor of Quality, Environment, Safety, and Occupational Health at MSA, in collaboration with the Egyptian Organization for Standardization and Quality (EOS). Distinguished attendees included Dr. Khaled Sufi, Chairman of EOS and President of the International Organization for Standardization (ISO), Prof. Dr. Khairy Abdel-Hamid, The President of the University, and Eng. Engy Mansour, General Manager of the Human Resources Department at MSA.

– The workshop aimed to raise awareness among MSA staff and students on key topics, including:

• The issue of climate change and its environmental indicators.
• Carbon footprints of institutions and relevant standards.
• Tools for calculating, verifying, and reporting carbon footprints.
• Lifecycle Assessment (LCA) of products. Principles, requirements, and guidelines of ISO 14067 for estimating and reporting Carbon Footprint of Products (CFP).

This initiative aligns with MSA University’s environmental protection strategy and its commitment to fostering sustainable development through its three core pillars: environment, society, and economy. By implementing strategies to reduce its carbon footprint, MSA aspires to become a green university with a clean and sustainable environment.
