<p class="wp-block-paragraph">The Faculty of Management Sciences, in collaboration with the Unit of Equal Opportunities and Non-Discrimination at October University for Modern Sciences and Arts (MSA University), organized an event entitled “Equal Opportunity for Organizational Excellence.”</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">The session was delivered by Eng. Khaled Mohamed Mostafa, Former Permanent Undersecretary of the Ministry of Planning and Economic Development, as part of the academic and community engagement activities at MSA University.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">The event was an opportunity that included the participation of several key MSA academic staff: the Coordinator of the Unit of Equal Opportunities and Non- Discrimination (MSA University) and Dean of the Faculty of Languages; the Dean of the Faculty of Management Sciences; the Dean of the Faculty of Arts and Design; the Head of the Equal Opportunity Unit and Vice Dean of Environmental Affairs and Community Service, the Vice Dean of Student Affairs, and the Unit Board at the Faculty of Management Sciences.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">The session hosted members of the academic staff from the Faculty of Management Sciences, the Faculty of Languages, and the Faculty of Mass Communication.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">The purpose of the event was to provide concept orientation to a wide range of students who are enrolled in several faculty programs, which resulted in an impressively overall diverse group of attendees.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">The session highlighted the vital role of equal opportunity, diversity, and inclusion in strengthening institutional performance, promoting sustainable development, and achieving organizational excellence in both public and private sectors.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">The session was delivered by Dr. Nermine Nofal and Dr. Al Shaimaa Galal, lecturers at the Architecture Department, who highlighted the critical role of inclusive urban design in fostering safer, more equitable environments that empower women.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">The speakers emphasized the importance of transforming everyday urban spaces into environments where women feel safe, visible, and fully engaged. Such inclusive approaches directly influence women’s mobility, economic participation, and overall well-being.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">The session addressed several key topics, including:</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">October University for Modern Sciences and Arts (MSA) launched a new series of academic and training workshops with a specialized session titled Climate Simulators. The workshop was organized and presented by Dr. Sarah Noaman, Assistant Professor of Interior Architecture under the supervision of Professor Dr. Doaa Salman, Deputy director of the Quality Assurance and Accreditation Center. It marked the beginning of a broader initiative to integrate sustainability-focused practices into academic training.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">The workshop introduced academic staff, students, and researchers to the importance of climate simulation tools as a powerful driver of sustainability. Discussions focused on analyzing environmental and climatic conditions affecting the built environment, raising awareness of the relationship between climate change and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), and enhancing students’ ability to integrate advanced technology into their academic and research projects.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Dr. Sarah Noaman delivered an interactive presentation covering the mechanisms and functions of climate simulation software, an introduction to global temperature trends and their impact on human wellbeing, and challenges and scenarios related to climate change. Participants engaged in hands-on activities, experimenting with simulation tools to better understand their role in climate and environmental preservation.</p>

Prof. Dr. Ghaleb El Refae, President of Al Ain University (AAU), UAE, in a visit aimed at reinforcing academic and research collaboration.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">H.E. Prof. Dr. Ghaleb El Refae was welcomed by H.E. Prof. Dr. Nader Nader Elbokle, President of October University for Modern Sciences and Arts (MSA), and Eng. Engy Mansour, General Director of the Human Resources Department at MSA, where the meeting featured constructive discussions on areas of mutual cooperation, developing academic programs, and supporting scientific research, contributing to the enhancement of educational quality.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">The visit also included a tour of several university faculties and laboratories, where the guest observed the advanced facilities and infrastructure of the university, reflecting its vision to keep pace with developments in higher education and meet labor market needs.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">October University For Modern Sciences And Arts (MSA) has announced a new strategic partnership with Lebaladna Foundation for Development and Yalla Kafala Foundation, marking a significant step toward supporting and enhancing the Kafala system in Egypt. This initiative aims to raise national awareness on the importance of family-based care and the vital role of both families and society in supporting children deprived of parental care.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">The announcement was made in the presence of:<br />Dr. Nawal El-Degwi, Chair of the University’s Board of Trustees, Prof. Dr. Nader El Bokle The President of MSA<br />and Eng. Ingy Mansour, General Manager of the Human Resources Department.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">The event featured an extensive discussion led by media host Doaa Farouk, who explored the importance of the Kafala system, the challenges faced by families, and the pivotal role students and the wider community can play in promoting a culture of compassion, inclusion, and social responsibility.<br />The session witnessed notable interaction and strong engagement from attendees and MSA students.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">During the event, several key figures supporting the Kafala ecosystem were honored, most notably Rasha Makki, in recognition of her impactful contributions to encouraging families to join the system and promoting societal awareness on responsible family-based care.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">MSA announced a series of upcoming joint workshops, community activities, and media campaigns aimed at expanding awareness of Kafala nationwide.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">In addition, the Faculty of Mass Communication will encourage students to develop graduation projects focused on Kafala, emphasizing its societal value.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">In a pioneering approach, the University also revealed plans to embed Kafala-related content within academic curricula, aiming to cultivate a deeper understanding of community responsibility among students.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">In celebration of Heart Health and Diabetes Awareness Month, the Faculty of Physical Therapy at October University for Modern Sciences and Arts (MSA), in collaboration with the Social and Sports Activities Department, organized a dynamic Sports Day on campus. The initiative aimed to promote physical activity, raise awareness about cardiovascular health and diabetes prevention, and inspire students and staff to adopt healthier lifestyles. <br /><br />In the precense of Prof. Dr. Olfat Diab, Dean of the Faculty of Physical Therapy, and Eng. Engy Mansour, The Director of the Human Resources Department, highlighting the leadership’s support for student wellness and engagement.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">The event featured a wide variety of sporting activities, including:</p>

<ul class="wp-block-list">
<li>Running Marathon</li>

<li>Cycling</li>

<li>Volleyball, Basketball, and Football Matches</li>

<li>Table Tennis</li>

<li>Deadlift Strength Competition</li>
</ul>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Beyond the sporting events, the day incorporated essential health awareness services. In partnership with the Lebaladna Foundation and the Ibrahim Badran Foundation, students from the Faculty of Physical Therapy provided free blood pressure and blood sugar screenings for all participants. Additionally, students from the Faculty of Dentistry contributed by offering comprehensive dental check-ups to students and university staff.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">The Sports Day concluded with a special ceremony honoring the winners of all individual and team competitions. Organized by the Social and Sports Activities Department, the ceremony celebrated the participants’ dedication, sportsmanship, and outstanding performance, highlighting the university’s commitment to holistic health, wellness, and community engagement.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">October University for Modern Sciences and Arts (MSA) and The PGCert and Fellowship in Higher Education Unit celebrated the success of being the first and only university in Egypt to graduate 267 of its qualified teaching staff with two certificates; the PGCert in Higher Education from the Universities of Greenwich and Bedfordshire, and the Fellowship in Higher Education from the Advance Higher Education in the UK.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph"><strong>This remarkable achievement is being celebrated with the presence of Dr. Nawal El-Degwi (Head of Board of Trustees), Professor Nader El Bokle (MSA University President), Eng. Engy Mansour (General Manager of the Human Resources Management), Dr. Heba Adel (Head of the Unit), and our Esteemed Deans of MSA Faculties.</strong></p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Dr. Abdelrahman delivered a masterclass in practical AI integration. He demonstrated how tools like Copilot can be harnessed to enhance research, streamline content creation, and foster a more efficient and creative academic environment.</p>
