📍 Ultrasound-Guided TMJ Access Workshop | 3–4 July 2026
Led by Dr. Ricardo Tesch, Dr. Mohammed Al-Moharraqi, Dr. Reem Hossameldin, and Dr. Ahmed Abdelrehem, the workshop combined expert lectures, a live demonstration, and hands-on training in advanced ultrasound-guided TMJ techniques.

The Pediatric Dentistry Department at October University for Modern Sciences and Arts (MSA) successfully organized its 2nd Annual Scientific Day, bringing together distinguished academics, clinicians, and dental professionals for a day dedicated to scientific exchange and professional development in the field of Pediatric Dentistry.

The event was honored by the presence of Prof. Dr. Nader El Bokle, President of MSA University, along with faculty leadership, respected professors, and guests from both within and outside the university.

This successful event was organized under the leadership of Prof. Dr. Fatma El Shehaby, Head of the Pediatric Dentistry Department, whose dedication and vision played a key role in bringing together experts, faculty members, and dental professionals to share knowledge and advance pediatric dental education. Their presence reflected the MSA university’s continued commitment to supporting academic excellence and scientific collaboration.

The Faculty of Dentistry Organizes Therapeutic Outreach Convoy in Celebration of World Oral Health Day

In celebration of World Oral Health Day, the Convoys Committee at the Faculty of Dentistry at October University for Modern Sciences and Arts (MSA) organized a therapeutic outreach convoy to one of the villages in Lower Egypt, aiming to provide essential dental care services to underserved communities.

The convoy was supported by the dedicated participation of 18 dental interns, along with 5 members of the Convoys Committee and a group of volunteering faculty staff. Together, they successfully examined approximately 100 patients.

As part of the services provided, 15 patients received periodontal cleaning procedures, while 63 patients underwent simple tooth extractions. The remaining cases were referred to the university’s dental clinics for further treatment, including restorative fillings, root canal therapy, and prosthodontic care.

This initiative reflects the Faculty’s ongoing commitment to community service and its active role in promoting oral health awareness and accessibility.

October University for Modern Sciences and Arts Hosts World Oral Health Day Celebration in Collaboration Between Pharmacy and Dentistry Faculties

As part of the ongoing cooperation between the Community Service Committee at the Faculty of Pharmacy and the Sustainable Development Committee at the Faculty of Dentistry at October University for Modern Sciences and Arts (MSA), the Faculty of Pharmacy hosted the Faculty of Dentistry’s celebration of World Oral Health Day.

Professor Naglaa Ibrahim, Professor of Pediatric Dentistry, delivered an awareness lecture for internship students and faculty members at the Faculty of Pharmacy, focusing on effective strategies for the prevention of tooth decay.

Members of the DCMSA student club also contributed to organizing the event and conducting a survey to gather participants’ feedback and insights.

This collaborative initiative reflects the university’s commitment to promoting health awareness, encouraging interdisciplinary engagement, and supporting community-focused educational activities.

Faculty of Dentistry – October University for Modern Sciences and Arts (MSA) announces the opening of new and advanced dental clinics, designed and equipped in accordance with the latest treatment systems and international standards, keeping pace with global advancements in the field of dentistry.

The Faculty of Dentistry at MSA University is one of the leading faculties in providing integrated education and clinical training, comprising more than 420 dental units equipped according to the latest national and international standards, ensuring the highest levels of quality and patient safety.

The faculty includes comprehensive specialized clinics covering all fields of dentistry, including:
▪️ Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery
▪️ Dental Implants
▪️ Pediatric Dentistry
▪️ Orthodontics

The faculty also includes fully equipped operating rooms for performing surgical procedures under general anesthesia, in accordance with the highest standards of medical safety and infection control.

MSA’ s Faculty Of Physical Therapy Celebrates Heart Health and Diabetes Awareness with Sports Day

In celebration of Heart Health and Diabetes Awareness Month, the Faculty of Physical Therapy at October University for Modern Sciences and Arts (MSA), in collaboration with the Social and Sports Activities Department, organized a dynamic Sports Day on campus. The initiative aimed to promote physical activity, raise awareness about cardiovascular health and diabetes prevention, and inspire students and staff to adopt healthier lifestyles.

In the precense of Prof. Dr. Olfat Diab, Dean of the Faculty of Physical Therapy, and Eng. Engy Mansour, The Director of the Human Resources Department, highlighting the leadership’s support for student wellness and engagement.

The event featured a wide variety of sporting activities, including:

Running Marathon
Cycling
Volleyball, Basketball, and Football Matches
Table Tennis
Deadlift Strength Competition

Beyond the sporting events, the day incorporated essential health awareness services. In partnership with the Lebaladna Foundation and the Ibrahim Badran Foundation, students from the Faculty of Physical Therapy provided free blood pressure and blood sugar screenings for all participants. Additionally, students from the Faculty of Dentistry contributed by offering comprehensive dental check-ups to students and university staff.

The Sports Day concluded with a special ceremony honoring the winners of all individual and team competitions. Organized by the Social and Sports Activities Department, the ceremony celebrated the participants’ dedication, sportsmanship, and outstanding performance, highlighting the university’s commitment to holistic health, wellness, and community engagement.

MSA’s Faculty of Dentistry Conducts Dental Screening and Treatment Convoy in Gerza Village

The Faculty of Dentistry at October University for Modern Sciences and Arts (MSA) recently organized a comprehensive dental screening and treatment convoy at the health unit in Gerza Village, Al-Ayyat District. This initiative reflects the faculty’s ongoing commitment to community service and improving access to oral healthcare in underserved areas.

The convoy brought together a dedicated team of five faculty members and their assistants, fifteen internship doctors, and two nurses, who worked collaboratively to provide quality dental care. During the campaign, the team successfully screened 130 patients and provided direct treatment to 70 patients, addressing a wide range of dental health needs.

Patients requiring more specialized care were referred to the faculty’s clinics for follow-up treatment, ensuring continuity of care beyond the outreach event.

This initiative underscores MSA’s dedication to combining academic excellence with social responsibility, equipping students with practical experience while contributing positively to the community.

The Faculty of Dentistry Hosts “Orientation for Interns” Training Day in Collaboration with the Faculty of Physical Therapy and Giza Health Affairs

The Faculty of Dentistry at October University for Modern Sciences and Arts (MSA), in cooperation with the Faculty of Physical Therapy and the Dental Directorate of the Giza Health Affairs, organized a comprehensive training day titled “Orientation for Interns” for 80 dentistry interns.

This training initiative aimed to prepare interns for their upcoming roles within primary healthcare units and government hospitals affiliated with the Ministry of Health, offering them practical insights into real-world clinical environments and the operational framework of public healthcare institutions.

As part of the program, academic staff members from the Faculty of Physical Therapy delivered an important lecture on ergonomics in dental practice, focusing on methods to prevent musculoskeletal and bone pain, a common challenge among dental professionals. The session provided interns with essential guidelines for maintaining physical well-being throughout their clinical careers.

Additionally, the Infection Control Committee at the Faculty of Dentistry presented a detailed lecture on the fundamentals of infection prevention and control protocols, emphasizing best practices and mandatory procedures to ensure patient and practitioner safety across all healthcare settings.

This training day reflects’s ongoing commitment to equipping its future healthcare professionals with the knowledge, skills, and ethical standards needed for excellence in community service and clinical practice.
