Prof. Dr. Ali Bastawessy, Dean of the Faculty of Computer Science, signed a cooperation protocol with Itech-Pro Egypt, a leading technology consulting and digital transformation company, in the presence of Dr. Mahmoud Nouh, Chief Executive Officer of the company.

Terms of the Cooperation Agreement:

-Itech-Pro Egypt shall organize technical lectures and hands-on workshops delivered by industry experts to enhance students’ practical knowledge and exposure to the latest technology trends.

-The parties shall launch industry-driven student projects, hackathons, and innovation competitions that address real-world business challenges while fostering creativity and problem-solving skills.

-Itech-Pro Egypt shall provide structured mentorship opportunities, practical training, and career development pathways to support students’ professional growth and employability.

-The cooperation shall support graduation projects in the fields of Artificial Intelligence (AI), Cloud Computing, Cybersecurity, and other emerging technologies, bridging academic learning with industry applications.

MSA University Students Complete International Summer School on Generative AI in France

The Faculty of Computer Science at October University for Modern Sciences and Arts (MSA University) is proud to congratulate its students on successfully participating in the 2nd International Summer School on “Generative Artificial Intelligence (GenAI) for Industry,” organized by the Association des Ingénieurs Francophones en Égypte (AIFE) and Hub Within Agency, and hosted by CESI Nice Campus and CESI LINEACT in Nice, France, from 29 June to 10 July 2026.

Over two intensive weeks, our students joined participants from “France, India, Serbia, Tunisia, Ghana, and Lebanon, gaining valuable international experience in a multicultural learning environment focused on the future of “Industry 5.0 and Generative AI.

The summer school began with a welcome session, a campus tour, and an introduction to CESI’s innovation facilities. The program then continued with lectures, hands-on workshops, and collaborative projects covering cutting-edge topics, including:

– Generative AI for the Industrial Revolution
– Python and PyTorch refresher sessions
– Foundations for developing advanced AI solutions for industrial applications
– Generative AI Models
– Transformers and Large Language Models (LLMs)
– Computer Vision
– Prompt Engineering

– Weights & Biases (W&B) Platform

Students also participated in a real-world Hackathon Data Challenge and developed capstone projects addressing 3D Computer Vision challenges, while experiencing the innovation ecosystem of the French Riviera through industrial visits and cultural activities.

As part of the program, the students visited Haliotis2, where they gained valuable insights into real-world industrial applications and strengthened the connection between academic learning and industry practice.

Under the patronage of Prof. Dr. Nader Elbokle, President of MSA University, and under the leadership of Prof. Dr. Ali El-Bastawisy, Dean of the Faculty of Computer Science, October University for Modern Sciences & Arts (MSA) proudly hosted the 4th IEEE International Conference on Intelligent Methods, Systems and Applications (IMSA 2026) on 11–12 July 2026.
The conference brought together distinguished researchers, academics, and industry experts from Egypt and abroad to explore the latest advances in Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, Cybersecurity, Computer Vision, the Internet of Things (IoT), Intelligent Systems, and other emerging digital technologies.
In his opening remarks, Prof. Dr. Nader Elbokle reaffirmed MSA University’s commitment to advancing scientific research, innovation, and international collaboration, while Prof. Dr. Ali El-Bastawisy highlighted IEEE IMSA as a leading platform for knowledge exchange and global research collaboration.

Under the patronage of Professor Dr. Nader Elbokle, President of MSA University, and the leadership of Professor Dr. Ali El-Bastawissy, Dean of the Faculty of Computer Science, October University for Modern Sciences and Arts University proudly hosted the 7th edition of Deep Minds on 5 July 2026, reaffirming its commitment to academic excellence, innovation, and industry collaboration.
The event showcased 70 graduation projects, 56 course projects, and 6 special projects, highlighting students’ creativity, technical expertise, and innovative solutions to real-world challenges.
This year’s edition also introduced two major digital initiatives: the Projects Jury Evaluation System and the Deep Minds Jury Portal, enhancing the efficiency, transparency, and overall evaluation experience.

The workshop introduced participants to the fundamentals of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) using the Odoo platform, one of the leading open-source business management solutions. Through a practical, step-by-step approach, students actively built a real application while exploring essential business workflows and system implementation processes.

More than just an event, Deep Minds 6 truly embodied its theme “Celebrating Innovation, Creating Opportunities” and served as a vibrant platform for demonstrating the exceptional capabilities of our students and the strength of our academic–industry partnerships.

This year’s edition brought together over 150 talented and ambitious students, each presenting inventive solutions and demonstrating advanced technical proficiency. A central highlight was the exhibition of more than 40 graduation projects, distinguished by their research rigor, innovation, and direct relevance to real-world challenges across multiple fields.

In addition, the event featured 86 industry-aligned course projects, developed in collaboration with our valued partners from the technology and business sectors.
