October University For Modern Sciences and Arts (MSA) in Egypt proudly inaugurated its Spring 2026 Graduation Projects Exhibition and the Faculty of Arts and Design’s Academic Panel Discussions.

This landmark event was held under the patronage of Dr. Nawal El-Degwy, Chairperson of the Board of Trustees; Professor Dr. Nader El-Bokle , President of the University; and Professor Dr. Tarek Saleh, Dean of the Faculty of Arts and Design, and celebrated the twelfth graduating class of the 2025/2026 academic year. In the presence of a distinguished group of specialists, academics, industry leaders, and students’ parents, the exhibition highlights how digital innovations, sustainable practices, and media arts across the faculty’s various departments directly contribute to addressing global challenges, while remaining deeply rooted in the unique cultural fabric of Egypt and the Arab world.

Based on the Faculty’s vision of preparing creative and socially responsible leaders, this year’s graduating class successfully adopted the “Conscious Design” framework. Each graduate seamlessly integrated the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals into their projects, combining heritage preservation, digital ethics, community engagement, and environmental awareness to offer forward-looking solutions aligned with Egypt’s Vision 2050. Key Achievements in Academic Departments:

Interior Design: Smart, People-Centric Spaces
The Interior Design Department launched innovative proposals designed to meet real community needs, connecting Egypt’s rich heritage with future-oriented design solutions. Working closely with the department head and the supervisory committee, students combined sustainability, technology, and cultural identity to develop spaces in vital sectors, including:

-Innovative tourism projects and cultural centers.

-State-of-the-art healthcare facilities and smart workplaces.

-Creative Community Hubs.

Fashion Design: Sustainable Innovation and Haute Couture
The 2025/2026 fashion design collections celebrated a new generation of designers who connect cultural identity with sustainable innovation. With the support of the department head, supervisors, and faculty, students presented outstanding collections ranging from haute couture and avant-garde to ready-to-wear lines, all incorporating ethical production and design principles.

Design for Theatre and Film Productions: The Art of Future Set Design
In response to the growing needs of the local and international film and theatre markets, this department presented dramatic projects inspired by the rich heritage of Egyptian cinema. Under the guidance of the department head and committee members, students explored:

-Creative designs in set design, visual world construction, and costume design.

-The philosophical and psychological dimensions of literary texts.

-Integrating cutting-edge artificial intelligence technologies into the dramatic arts. Graphic Arts and Advertising: Digital Transformation and Storytelling.

At the forefront of the digital media landscape, the Department of Visual and Media Arts showcased a distinguished portfolio of work, in which graduates reinterpreted local history through a sophisticated, contemporary lens. These projects demonstrate how visual storytelling can drive powerful institutional and social change through:

-Interactive digital media and campaigns.
-Experimental animation and impactful branding systems.
-Job-ready visual communication designs that connect local heritage with global perspectives.

Professor Dr. Tarek Saleh, Dean of the Faculty of Arts and Design, said: “We are extremely proud of our twelfth graduating class. They have brilliantly demonstrated how to connect local heritage with global design perspectives. This achievement is the fruit of collective passion and the tireless guidance of department heads, supervisory committees, faculty members, and teaching assistants.”

The faculty warmly welcomes and expresses its sincere appreciation to the esteemed discussion committee. Their valuable time, experience, and insightful perspectives mark a significant milestone in the academic journey of these young innovators, as they transition into the job market as a new generation of designers shaping Egypt’s future.
The exhibition remains open to industry professionals, media representatives, and the general public, offering a glimpse into the future of the global creative landscape in the fields of technology, media, and design.

On a historic night at the National Museum of Egyptian Civilization… MSA University’s annual fashion show “Heritage Manifestations” is a resounding success

The National Museum of Egyptian Civilization witnessed an exceptional evening yesterday, blending the allure of history with the innovations of the future. The annual fashion show of October University for Modern Sciences and Arts (MSA), titled “Heritage Manifestations,” was held as part of the “Creativity from Fabric” exhibition.

The event was attended by Dr. Nawal El-Degwy, Chair of the University’s Board of Trustees; Professor Dr. Nader El-Bakl, University President; and Dr. Engy Mansour, Vice Chair of the Board of Trustees.

A distinguished audience of academics, along with a host of textile and fashion experts from Egypt and the Arab world, were also present.

The show received widespread acclaim and overwhelmingly positive feedback from the attendees, who expressed their admiration for the high artistic and technical standards demonstrated by the students of the Fashion Design Department at the Faculty of Arts and Design.

Fashion and textile experts affirmed that this event represents a serious and significant step towards enhancing the added value of Egyptian textiles and presenting national identity in a modern style that competes in global markets. They considered the show an official declaration of the birth of a new and distinctive Egyptian school of fashion.

Official and Academic Praise
In his opening remarks, Prof.Dr. Tarek Saleh, Dean of the Faculty of Arts and Design, expressed his immense pride in the students, emphasizing that the university dedicates all its resources to supporting innovation and academic and practical excellence.

The Faculty also extended its greetings and appreciation.

The academic and production organization received high praise. The Dean expressed his gratitude to Professor Dr. Hadeel Farhat, Dr. Dalia Abu El-Saoud, and the faculty members who supervised the production of the exhibits, as well as Professor Dr. Hoda Madkour, who oversaw the event’s execution.

The university also expressed its appreciation for the generous support of the museum’s administration, led by Professor Dr. El-Tayeb Abbas, all museum departments, the security department, and all partners in this success.

Timeless and Vivid Presentations

The students took the audience on a captivating visual journey, where fabric became a language that spoke of different eras. The models moved between rich cultural traditions, including:

The Pharaonic, Coptic, and Islamic periods, with their spiritual and artistic dimensions.

The depth of Egyptian identity, represented in the fashions of Siwa, Sinai, Assiut, Nubia and Aswan, Upper Egypt, and the Zaghaba heritage.

In addition, the shared Arab identity was showcased through inspiring looks from Palestine with its vibrant Canaanite embroidery, as well as Morocco, Tunisia, and Yemen.

Expert Testimonials: Towards Egyptian Leadership in the World of Fashion
The textile and fashion experts participating in the event agreed that the designs presented were not merely imitations of heritage, but rather intelligent and innovative reinterpretations that serve the national industry. They pointed out that the students’ ability to combine authentic Egyptian materials with modern embroidery and cuts is the ideal path to transforming the spinning and weaving sector in Egypt from a mere raw material industry into a high-value-added fashion industry with international competitiveness.

The event concluded amidst a festive atmosphere and commemorative photos that brought together the creative students with their professors, public figures and experts, promising to continue this journey that proves day after day that Egyptian heritage does not die, but is always renewed by the hands of the future generation.

The Faculty of Arts and Design at October University for Modern Sciences and Arts (MSA) conducted an intensive three-hour workshop titled: “Pixel Architecture: The Synergy of Data, Design, Production, and Communication” led by Dr. Ahmed Attia for students from multiple disciplines.

The session focused on the high-level standards required to create professional-grade visual assets in today’s digital economy.

The workshop was designed to dissolve the boundaries between creative design, software engineering, and mass media. Dr. Attia guided participants through the complete lifecycle of a digital image, emphasizing that a high-quality visual is not just “art” but a complex structure that must perform across various professional platforms.

A Multi-Disciplinary Approach The session was built on four core pillars tailored to a diverse student body:

The Science of Data: Helping students understand the foundational building blocks that make up every digital image.

The Creative Vision: Focusing on professional workflows that maintain the highest aesthetic quality during the editing process.

The Production Pipeline: Navigating the journey an image takes from a creator’s screen to its final destination.

The Strategy of Communication: Ensuring that a brand’s message remains consistent whether it appears on a billboard, a website, or a mobile app.

Industry Standards and Global Delivery
Participants explored how to prepare visual content for a wide range of industries, including professional printing, web design, mobile applications, and 3D gaming. The talk provided a clear roadmap for choosing the right settings for different media to ensure that the final product always looks its best, regardless of the device or format used for viewing.

Dr. Attia concluded the event by highlighting the vital link between technical precision and creative success, reminding students: “Data informs Design. Production enables Communication. If the architecture of your pixel is weak, your vision will not survive the pipeline”.

The Interior Design Department at October University for Modern Sciences and Arts (MSA) organized an educational event in collaboration with SCIB Paints, aimed at introducing students to paint materials, color selection, and finishing techniques in interior design.

The event began with an informative lecture delivered by paint specialists, where students were introduced to different types of paints, finishes, color tones, and the main criteria for selecting suitable materials for interior spaces. The session also highlighted how paint choices can support both the functional and aesthetic aspects of design.

Following the lecture, a practical workshop was conducted in which students explored color mixing, layering, and surface application techniques using different tools and materials. This hands-on activity gave students the opportunity to apply the theoretical knowledge presented during the lecture and experiment directly with color combinations and finishes. At the end of the workshop, each student presented an individual painted board, and the day concluded with photographs and recognition of the guest speakers.

This event is part of the Interior Design Specifications, Quantities, Contracts, and Ethics (BOQ) course activities, under the supervision of course instructor Dr. Rasha El Shiaty and Dr. Sarah Noaman, the Head of Interior Design Department Prof. Dr. Amany Mashhour, In attendance of the Dean of the Faculty of Arts and Design Prof. Dr. Tarek Saleh.

It reflects the department’s commitment to providing students with experiential learning opportunities that enhance both their technical knowledge and creative confidence.
