MSA University’s academic visit was conducted by Professor Nader ElBokle, MSA University President, Dr. Engy Mansour, Vice Chairman of MSA Board of Trustees, Dr. Mona Afifi, Head MSA Central UK Quality Assurance and International Partnership Unit, Dr. Samia El-Sheikh, Link Tutor with the University of Greenwich and Vice-Dean of Student Affairs in the Faculty of Management Sciences, and Dr. Heba Adel, Head of MSA PGCert and Fellowship in Higher Education Unit and Link Tutor with the University of Greenwich, to attend the University of Greenwich International Partnerships Conference 2026 in London and reflect on our strategic academic international partnership together for 23 years. MSA Academic Visit was formally welcomed by Professor Jane Harrington, the Vice Chancellor and Chief Executive of the University of Greenwich, Professor Peter Griffiths, Pro Vice-Chancellor, Faculty of Engineering and Science, Professor Noel-Ann Bradshaw, Deputy Dean of the Faculty of Engineering and Science, Professor Stephen Corbett, Interim Pro Vice-Chancellor, Faculty of Education, Health and Human Sciences, and Dr. Joanna Smith, Deputy Dean of Greenwich Business School.

The visit to the three main campuses of the University of Greenwich in Avery Hill, Medway and Greenwich encompassed a series of high-level academic discussions and labs’ visits to share the contemporary innovations in higher education and further opportunities for our global partnership. MSA’s British partner commends the outstanding efforts of MSA Faculties of Pharmacy, Biotechnology, Engineering, Computer Science, and Management Sciences, which have sustained our academic partnership in accordance with the requirements and standards of British education and the global sustainable development goals of the United Nations.

Trending Chemistry Expo – Scientific Day Exhibition

Our PHR11 students at the Faculty of Pharmacy, October University for Modern Sciences and Arts (MAS) did an outstanding job showcasing their 3D molecular models and leading in-depth discussions on chirality and the effect of studied functional groups on benzene ring reactivity. It was impressive to see complex organic chemistry concepts transformed into clear, tangible models with accurate structures, bond angles, and atom color codes.

The discussions went beyond the textbook — students confidently explained how substituents influence reactivity, and connected it back to the real-world products we see trending online. Their ability to break down the chemistry behind weight-loss drugs, skincare actives, and supplements made the science accessible and relevant to everyone in the room.

We also evaluated the awareness videos submitted by the students, and certificates were awarded to the creators of the best videos for their creativity and clarity in communicating chemistry and health risks to the public.

A huge thank you to all the students for their creativity, preparation, and critical thinking, and to everyone who attended. Events like this are exactly what “science meets creativity” looks like in action.

The PR and Advertising Department at the Faculty of Mass Communication, October University for Modern Sciences and Arts (MSA) conducted the 5th Creative Festival, a remarkable celebration of creativity, academic excellence, and the outstanding practical achievements of both our students and faculty members. The festival served as a dynamic platform showcasing innovative student projects developed across a wide range of specialized courses, including Digital Marketing, Brand Management, Consumer Behavior, Digital Storytelling, Content Creation, Graphic Design, and Strategic Communication workshops.

In line with the department’s mission to bridge the gap between academia and the professional industry, we were honored to welcome and recognize an outstanding panel of industry leaders and experts, including Mr. Eslam Toba, CEO of Chapters Digital Solutions, Dr. Randa Muhammad, CEO of Bond Marketing, and Mrs. Fatma Mahmoud, CEO of Von Marketing.

MSA University Concludes the 2025/2026 Seven-a-Side Football Championship

The Football Academy at October University for Modern Sciences and Arts (MSA) successfully concluded the Seven-a-Side Football Championship for the 2025/2026 academic year, held during the second semester. The tournament witnessed outstanding participation from students across the University’s faculties, bringing together 64 teams and a total of 640 students in a highly competitive environment characterized by sportsmanship, teamwork, and fair play.

The awards ceremony was attended by Dr. Maher Shehto, Advisor to the Chairman of the Board of Trustees of MSA University, who honored the winning teams and outstanding players in recognition of their achievements throughout an exceptional sporting season.

Pharmacy Students Inside the DNA Laboratories at National Museum of Egyptian Civilization (NMEC)

The Biochemistry Department at Faculty of Pharmacy at October University for Modern Sciences and Arts (MSA) recently organized an exclusive scientific field trip to the DNA Laboratories at the National Museum of Egyptian Civilization (NMEC), giving the Molecular Genetics and Pharmacogene students a rare look into the future of genetic science.

The students was honored by an inspiring talk from Prof. Dr. Yehia Gad, Head of the Ancient DNA Lab at NMEC and former Scientific Committee Head of the Egyptian Genome Project. Prof. Gad detailed the critical role these confidential labs play in the Egyptian Genome Project, explaining how mapping our genetic blueprint is revolutionizing personalized medicine and national healthcare. The Students toured the high-tech DNA laboratories, witnessing the advanced state-of-the-Art facilities used to decode ancient and modern genetic material.

This experience bridged the gap between classroom and world-class research experts, inspiring our students to lead the next wave of pharmaceutical innovation.

The Faculty of Management Sciences, in collaboration with the Unit of Equal Opportunities and Non-Discrimination at October University for Modern Sciences and Arts (MSA University), organized an event entitled “Equal Opportunity for Organizational Excellence.”

The session was delivered by Eng. Khaled Mohamed Mostafa, Former Permanent Undersecretary of the Ministry of Planning and Economic Development, as part of the academic and community engagement activities at MSA University.

The event was an opportunity that included the participation of several key MSA academic staff: the Coordinator of the Unit of Equal Opportunities and Non- Discrimination (MSA University) and Dean of the Faculty of Languages; the Dean of the Faculty of Management Sciences; the Dean of the Faculty of Arts and Design; the Head of the Equal Opportunity Unit and Vice Dean of Environmental Affairs and Community Service, the Vice Dean of Student Affairs, and the Unit Board at the Faculty of Management Sciences.

The session hosted members of the academic staff from the Faculty of Management Sciences, the Faculty of Languages, and the Faculty of Mass Communication.

The purpose of the event was to provide concept orientation to a wide range of students who are enrolled in several faculty programs, which resulted in an impressively overall diverse group of attendees.

Advertising and Media Campaign Projects’ Competition Spring 2026

The Faculty of Management Sciences at October University for Modern Sciences and Arts (MSA) successfully organized the Advertising Projects Competition – Spring 2026 for the Advertising and Media Campaign module.

The competition served as a dynamic platform that bridged marketing theory with real-world practice, allowing students to apply classroom concepts in branding, media planning, and campaign strategy to realistic market scenarios. Student groups presented well-researched and creative advertising and media campaigns aimed at promoting brands to Egyptian consumers, demonstrating both strategic thinking and creative execution.

The Advertising Projects’ Competition was under the supervision of Dr. Ranya Ibrahim, the Marketing and International Business Programme Coordinator.

Projects were evaluated by a distinguished panel consisting of:
” Ms. Noor Hussam Suleiman: Head of Consumer Insights at Kijami advertising agency
” Mr. Ramy Nabil: Accounts Director at Kijamii advertising agency.

The event provided an opportunity for students to gain practical insights in the advertising field from the recommendations and comments received from the panel in addition to providing internship and career opportunities for students in Egyptian advertising agencies. The panel selected the best 4 campaigns and the winners were offered certificates of achievement.

MSA Pharmacy Hosts Pharmacovigilance Event

In collaboration with the Ministry of Health and Population, the Egyptian Drug Authority (EDA), and Pfizer, the Faculty of Pharmacy at October University for Modern Sciences and Arts (MSA University), under the umbrella of the student activity “Model World Health Organization (mWHO)”, organized a distinguished event titled:

“Pharmacovigilance in Action: From Reporting to Real-World Impact”

The event was held on May 14, 2026, as part of the Faculty’s commitment to enhancing awareness of the role of pharmacovigilance in supporting and advancing the healthcare system.

The event was attended by Dr. Hend Ashour, Head of the Central Administration of Pharmaceutical Affairs at the Ministry of Health and Population.

During the event, the pivotal role of the Egyptian Drug Authority (EDA) in supporting the pharmacovigilance system in Egypt was highlighted. Dr. Mai Gamal Mohamed – Senior PV Inspector, Egyptian Drug Authority (EDA) explained the role of the EDA in regulating the pharmacovigilance system in Egypt, reviewing adverse event reporting mechanisms, signal detection processes, and the role of regulatory authorities in supporting patient safety and promoting the safe use of pharmaceutical products.

In addition, Dr. Mahmoud Osama Ibrahim – Senior PV Specialist, Egyptian Drug Authority (EDA) addressed the practical and applied aspects of the Egyptian pharmacovigilance system, highlighting the role of analyzing drug safety reports and making regulatory decisions based on pharmacovigilance data.

Furthermore, Dr. Hadeer Rostom – Chair, ISoP Egypt Chapter | Membership Coordinator, International Society of Pharmacovigilance (ISoP) discussed advanced concepts in pharmacovigilance sciences, ranging from the fundamentals of signal detection to risk management plans, while shedding light on the role of the World Health Organization and Egypt’s participation in the global pharmacovigilance network.

Moreover, Dr. Amira Onsi – Safety Lead Egypt, Levant, Iraq and Iran, Pfizer addressed Pfizer’s role in supporting drug safety systems through global databases, case analysis, signal verification, and the importance of collaboration with various regulatory authorities.

Dr. Mohamed El Hawary – Vaccine Safety Officer, Ministry of Health also discussed the role of the Ministry of Health in monitoring vaccine safety and promoting the culture of adverse event reporting, emphasizing the importance of raising both community and professional awareness regarding pharmacovigilance.

Additionally, Dr. Aya Anis – PV Vendor & Operations Manager, Baupharma highlighted the role of outsourcing companies in supporting pharmacovigilance systems and their contribution to managing and monitoring drug safety reports while enhancing the efficiency of safety-related operations.

The Faculty emphasized that this event comes as part of its ongoing efforts to strengthen collaboration with the Egyptian Drug Authority, the Ministry of Health and Population, and international pharmaceutical companies, while connecting students with modern practical applications, contributing to the preparation of pharmaceutical professionals capable of supporting healthcare systems and patient safety both locally and internationally.
