{"id":16974,"date":"2023-09-21T13:50:00","date_gmt":"2023-09-21T13:50:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/stage.msa.edu.eg\/?p=16974"},"modified":"2024-05-16T13:51:21","modified_gmt":"2024-05-16T13:51:21","slug":"pt-role-for-spinal-deformities-3d-spine-analysis-and-treatment","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/stage.msa.edu.eg\/ar\/pt-role-for-spinal-deformities-3d-spine-analysis-and-treatment\/","title":{"rendered":"PT role for Spinal deformities, 3D spine analysis and treatment"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Faculty of Physical therapy held an intensive workshop entitled &#8220;PT role for Spinal deformities, 3D spine analysis and treatment&#8221; in the presence and participation of faculty members with practical hands-on.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The major goal of the workshop is to identify the standard features of the following interventions<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>3-dimension self-correction<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Training activities of daily living (ADL)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Stabilization of the corrected posture<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Schroth based PSSE is part of a scoliosis care model that includes scoliosis specific education, scoliosis specific physical therapy exercises, observation or surveillance, psychological support and intervention, bracing and surgery.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The model is oriented to the patient looking at a patient-oriented decision according to clinical experience, scientific evidence and patient\u2019s preference.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Thus, specific exercises are not considered as an alternative to bracing or surgery but as a therapeutic intervention, which can be used alone or in combination with bracing or surgery according to individual indication.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>PSSE can also produce benefits in subjects with scoliosis other than reducing the Cobb angle, like improving back asymmetry, based on 3D self-correction and stabilization of a stable 3D corrected posture, as well as the secondary muscle imbalance ,related pain and also improve breathing function.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Faculty of Physical therapy held an intensive workshop entitled &#8220;PT role for Spinal deformities, 3D spine analysis and treatment&#8221; in the presence and participation of faculty members with practical hands-on.
