corrective orthodontic treatment for children, adolescents and adults.\u00a0 One of the goals of the program is to teach the students rigorous qualitative and quantitative research and complete a thesis research project suitable for submission to a peer reviewed journal. At the end of this program, the graduate student will gain the highest professional knowledge relevant to science and practice of orthodontic treatment as well as the clinical experience which enable him \/ her to accomplish the following tasks:<\/p><ol><li>Provide the child and adult community with efficient and superior comprehensive orthodontic care.<\/li><li>Participate efficiently in judgement and decision making in treatment of malocclusion<\/li><li>Decline in the incidence of gene-linked malocclusion and dento-skeletal malformation<\/li><li>To reduce the incidence of acquired completion of the following three requirements:<\/p><p><strong>Research Requirement<\/strong><\/p><p>Each student must complete a research project aligned with the Faculty and Department research plan as a prerequisite for obtaining the Master\u2019s degree.<\/p><p>Students are eligible to register their thesis project after successful completion of the second semester.<\/p><p>A scientific paper derived from the thesis must be published in a peer-reviewed international journal with an impact factor.<\/p><p>The public defense of the thesis may not take place earlier than 12 months following the approval of the Faculty Council for thesis registration.<\/p><p><strong>Coursework Requirement<\/strong><\/p><p>Each program comprises a defined set of courses, with a minimum requirement of <strong>80 credit hours<\/strong> over six semesters.<\/p><p>The maximum number of credit hours that a student may register in any Fall or Spring semester is <strong>21 credit hours<\/strong>.<\/p><p>All courses must be successfully completed in order to qualify for the award of the Master\u2019s degree.<\/p><p>The courses are designed in alignment with the selected internal (NARS)\/external reference standards (benchmarking) of the program.<\/p><p><strong>Practical Training and Scientific Activities Requirement<\/strong><\/p><p>Practical training and scientific activities constitute an integral component of the Master\u2019s degree.<\/p><p>Each Department is responsible for preparing its training program and assigning credit hours to each activity.<\/p><p>A minimum threshold for each activity is established to ensure the achievement of the intended learning outcomes of the various study programs.<\/p><p>Students must document all training activities in a <strong>Logbook<\/strong>, which is verified and approved by the Head of Department and the Faculty Administration.<\/p><p>Students will not be permitted to sit for examinations until they have
