MSA University’s visit to the University of Greenwich its valued partner in the UK to proudly celebrate sustaining 23 years of international academic validation

MSA University’s academic visit was conducted by Professor Nader ElBokle, MSA University President, Dr. Engy Mansour, Vice Chairman of MSA Board of Trustees, Dr. Mona Afifi, Head MSA Central UK Quality Assurance and International Partnership Unit, Dr. Samia El-Sheikh, Link Tutor with the University of Greenwich and Vice-Dean of Student Affairs in the Faculty of Management Sciences, and Dr. Heba Adel, Head of MSA PGCert and Fellowship in Higher Education Unit and Link Tutor with the University of Greenwich, to attend the University of Greenwich International Partnerships Conference 2026 in London and reflect on our strategic academic international partnership together for 23 years. MSA Academic Visit was formally welcomed by Professor Jane Harrington, the Vice Chancellor and Chief Executive of the University of Greenwich, Professor Peter Griffiths, Pro Vice-Chancellor, Faculty of Engineering and Science, Professor Noel-Ann Bradshaw, Deputy Dean of the Faculty of Engineering and Science, Professor Stephen Corbett, Interim Pro Vice-Chancellor, Faculty of Education, Health and Human Sciences, and Dr. Joanna Smith, Deputy Dean of Greenwich Business School.

The visit to the three main campuses of the University of Greenwich in Avery Hill, Medway and Greenwich encompassed a series of high-level academic discussions and labs’ visits to share the contemporary innovations in higher education and further opportunities for our global partnership. MSA’s British partner commends the outstanding efforts of MSA Faculties of Pharmacy, Biotechnology, Engineering, Computer Science, and Management Sciences, which have sustained our academic partnership in accordance with the requirements and standards of British education and the global sustainable development goals of the United Nations.

MSA University has successfully sustained 23 years of academic validation with the University of Greenwich, MSA’s valued UK partner.

UoG Academic delegation was formally welcomed by Professor Nawal ElDegwi, Head of the Board of Trustees, Professor Nader ElBokle, MSA President, and Dr. Mona Afifi, Head MSA Central UK Quality Assurance, Cooperation and International Partnership Unit MSA University, reflecting on the strategic importance of this long-standing academic partnership.

The UK delegation was headed by Professor Noel-Ann Bradshaw, Deputy Dean of the Faculty of Engineering and Science. The visit encompassed a series of high-level academic and quality assurance proceedings, for the Faculties of Biotechnology, Computer Science, Engineering, Management Sciences, Pharmacy. The delegation undertook the moderation of student assessment materials, attended graduation project presentations, which they highly commended for their academic rigor and quality, and conducted a thorough scrutiny of student results. In addition, the head of the delegation chaired the Examination Boards, ensuring full alignment with UK academic standards and validation requirements.

Beyond assessment and quality assurance activities, the visit also incorporated strategic research discussions, laying the foundation for a new era of expanded research collaboration between both Universities.

The visit was concluded with a celebratory event marking the continued success of the Summer Abroad Programme, attended by participating students who shared first hand reflections on the significant impact on their academic development and future career aspirations.
This milestone visit reaffirms the strength, depth, and sustainability of the partnership between MSA University and the University of Greenwich, acheiving a shared commitment to academic excellence, internationalization, and graduate employability.

October University for Modern Sciences and Arts (MSA) and The PGCert and Fellowship in Higher Education Unit celebrated the success of being the first and only university in Egypt to graduate 267 of its qualified teaching staff with two certificates; the PGCert in Higher Education from the Universities of Greenwich and Bedfordshire, and the Fellowship in Higher Education from the Advance Higher Education in the UK.

MSA University Welcomes the University of Greenwich Academic Moderation Delegation

October University for Modern Sciences and Arts (MSA) was honored to welcome the Academic Moderation Delegation and External Examiners from the University of Greenwich, headed by Prof. Noel-Ann Bradshaw, Deputy Dean of the Faculty of Engineering and Science University of Greenwich.

The delegation was officially welcomed by Prof. Nawal El Degwi, Head of the Board of Trustees at MSA University.

During the visit, the delegation conducted a comprehensive review of graduation projects presented by senior students from the faculties of Engineering, Computer Science, Biotechnology, Pharmacy, and Management Sciences. The panel also reviewed the students’ coursework, declaring that their standards are equal to their UK peers.

The visit concluded with the formal approval and announcement of students’ results after robust rectification and scrutiny in MSA UOG exam board.

October University for Modern Sciences and Arts (MSA University) welcomed its collaborative British partner, the University of Greenwich, for a delegation visit, including External Examiner moderation and an exam board review across the Faculties of Biotechnology, Computer Science, Engineering, Management Sciences, and Pharmacy.

The delegation, headed by Professor Noel-Ann Bradshaw, Deputy Dean of the Faculty of Engineering and Science at the University of Greenwich, was warmly welcomed by Prof.Dr. Nawal El Degwi, MSA Head of the Board of Trustees. They shared their positive feedback with Prof.Dr. Nawal, commending MSA’s top-notch facilities, high academic standards of students and graduation projects, and the robust quality procedures of the exam boards.

Also, they commended MSA UK Postgraduate Scholarship Programme awardees whom have returned from Greenwich upon achieving their PhD award to join MSA and are currently teaching in MSA while sharing their international experience.

At October University for Modern Sciences and Arts (MSA), student feedback is recognized as a vital component of our quality assurance efforts, driving continuous improvement for a better university experience. The MSA UK Central Quality Assurance and International Partnerships Unit, led by Mrs. Mona Afifi, recently organized the bi-annual Board of Study (BoS) meetings in line with the university’s quality assurance calendar.

Over three consecutive days, Deans from various faculties chaired these important meetings, providing a platform for students to express their thoughts and feedback directly. This interactive session allowed students to engage meaningfully with MSA Deans and representatives from the university’s central unit, fostering a collaborative environment for discussion and improvement.

Our UK partners also participated online, and their presence further emphasized the importance of this initiative. They commended our students for their constructive feedback, which plays a crucial role in shaping MSA University’s academic environment and enhancing the overall student experience.

By prioritizing student input, MSA reaffirms its commitment to academic excellence and continuous development, ensuring that our students not only receive a quality education but also feel valued and heard within our academic community.

Celebrating 20 Years of Excellence: MSA University UK Summer Abroad Programme

October University For Modern Sciences And Arts (MSA) proudly announce that The Quality Assurance and International Partnership Unit recently hosted a significant event to commemorate the 20th anniversary of the MSA UK Summer Abroad Programme. This ceremony marked two decades of enriching experiences for students and highlighted the program’s contribution to the university’s vision of internationalization in higher education.

The event was inaugurated by Mrs. Mona Afifi, Head of the Central Quality Assurance and International Partnership Unit, who shared the success story of the programme since its inception in 2004. Mrs. Afifi emphasized the role of the programme as a core element of the university’s strategy to enhance international higher education.

The event was graced by the participation of Prof. Noel-Ann Bradshaw, Deputy Dean of the Faculty of Engineering Science at the University of Greenwich, who congratulated the summer abroad students for benefiting from this remarkable programme, which fosters the development of global citizens.
