As part of the ongoing commitment of October University for Modern Sciences and Arts (MSA University) to preparing highly qualified pharmacy graduates for professional practice and scientific research, the Bioequivalence Center proudly welcomed a new group of Pharmacy Internship (Pharm D) students through its specialized Pharm D Internship Program.

The Bioequivalence Center at MSA University is the first nationally recognized and licensed Bioequivalence Center established within an Egyptian private university. The Center is operated by a team of highly qualified scientists, researchers, and quality professionals with extensive expertise in pharmaceutical sciences, clinical research, and quality management systems.

The Center plays a vital role in supporting the local pharmaceutical industry through conducting Bioequivalence (BE) Studies and In-Vitro Equivalence Studies, contributing to the availability of high-quality local medicines that comply with national and international regulatory requirements.

In addition, the Center is committed to supporting students and researchers from various scientific disciplines, including:
🔹 Faculty of Pharmacy student’s
🔹 Biotechnology student’s
🔹 Master’s and PhD candidate’s
🔹 Graduation projects and scientific research initiatives

Through a comprehensive scientific environment, academic supervision, and practical research support, the Center helps students and researchers enhance their scientific knowledge and professional skills.

Quality is the core value upon which the Center is built and remains the defining characteristic of all its research and operational activities. The Center is widely recognized for its strong quality culture and its commitment to the highest international quality standards and best clinical and laboratory practices.

The Center also takes pride in providing exceptional care for volunteers and researchers through state-of-the-art clinical facilities, advanced analytical laboratories, and a highly trained and dedicated team, while maintaining strict compliance with quality standards and research integrity requirements.

The internship program was conducted under the supervision of Dr. Dina Karam Sayed, Center Manager, who oversaw the design and implementation of a comprehensive training experience. Students received hands-on training across all Center departments, with each department providing specialized training under the direct supervision of experienced professionals and subject-matter experts. This approach ensured that students gained practical exposure and a thorough understanding of bioequivalence studies, quality systems, clinical research, bioanalysis, and pharmaceutical development processes.

We remain committed to empowering our students and researchers with the practical experience and scientific expertise needed to contribute effectively to the advancement of pharmaceutical research and healthcare in Egypt.

Our PHR11 students at the Faculty of Pharmacy, October University for Modern Sciences and Arts (MAS) did an outstanding job showcasing their 3D molecular models and leading in-depth discussions on chirality and the effect of studied functional groups on benzene ring reactivity. It was impressive to see complex organic chemistry concepts transformed into clear, tangible models with accurate structures, bond angles, and atom color codes.

The discussions went beyond the textbook — students confidently explained how substituents influence reactivity, and connected it back to the real-world products we see trending online. Their ability to break down the chemistry behind weight-loss drugs, skincare actives, and supplements made the science accessible and relevant to everyone in the room.

We also evaluated the awareness videos submitted by the students, and certificates were awarded to the creators of the best videos for their creativity and clarity in communicating chemistry and health risks to the public.

A huge thank you to all the students for their creativity, preparation, and critical thinking, and to everyone who attended. Events like this are exactly what “science meets creativity” looks like in action.

Proud of our young scientists for busting myths and raising awareness with evidence-based chemistry!
