<p>MSA’s participation features the presence of Prof. Dr. Tarek Saleh, Dean of the Faculty of Arts and Design, who took part in several specialized panel discussions addressing artistic and heritage-related topics, in addition to exploring key issues surrounding the protection of intellectual and cultural property in the era of technological transformation and artificial intelligence applications.</p>



<p>Dr. Safaan Amer, a faculty member at the Faculty of Languages and lecturer of Spanish language courses, is presenting a collection of specialized publications in the Spanish language and Spanish language education. These works enrich the Arabic library in this field and reflect his academic and research expertise.</p>



<p>The exhibition also includes the contribution of Abdelrahman Haggag, a graduate of the Faculty of Mass Communication at MSA University, who has authored a book that represents a valuable addition to the literary works showcased at the fair and highlights the strong presence and impact of MSA graduates within the cultural scene.</p>



<p>In the field of translation, several members of the Faculty of Languages are presenting translated works that demonstrate the faculty’s vital role in supporting translation movement and building bridges of cultural communication. Contributors include Dr. Yasmin Fahd (Assistant Professor), Noran Ashraf (Faculty Member), Malak Khaled (Teaching Assistant), and Somaya Abdel Wahab El-Samahy (Assistant Lecturer).</p>

										<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>The PR and Advertising Department at October University for Modern Sciences and Arts (MSA) proudly hosted the graduation project discussions of its 400-level students, six dynamic days that reflected the depth, relevance, and future-readiness of a new generation of communicators. The event took place from Saturday, January 10th to Thursday, January 15th.</p>



<p>Held under the leadership of Dr. Amany Fahmy, Dean of the Faculty, and Dr. Hayat Badr, Head of the PR and Advertising Department, the discussions showcased projects that went far beyond traditional advertising. Students tackled critical contemporary themes such as Gen Z and youth culture, women’s rights and social relationships, health awareness and addiction recovery, and digital media literacy alongside influencer impact, demonstrating a strong balance between social responsibility and strategic communication.</p>



<p>The opening day featured Grad 2 projects supervised by Dr. Hassan Marie and Radwa Manie. The panel brought together academic and industry expertise, with Dr. Hayat Badr joining Dahlia Ezzat, Business Director at Omnicom, and Adam Moustafa, Founder of Skillstar, in discussions that bridged theoretical foundations with agency-level insights.</p>



<p>On Sunday and Monday, Grad 1 students presented projects under the supervision of Dr. Rania Shaaban, Rana Rashad, and Nadien Zohiery. The panels were enriched by the academic perspectives of Dr. Hassan Marie and Dr. Abeer Salem, alongside industry professionals Nihal Gamal, Marketing and Operations Manager at Good Job, and Mostafa Abo El Fetouh, Marketing Manager at Cy-Shield, who provided valuable feedback grounded in real market practice.</p>



<p>The discussions continued on Tuesday with another Grad 1 cohort, supervised by Dr. Dina Younis and Ayat Embabi. Insightful evaluations were led by Dr. Mariam Amer, together with Wafaa Al-Badry, Corporate Communications Senior Manager, offering students a strategic corporate communication lens.</p>



<p>The week concluded on Wednesday and Thursday with Grad 1 projects supervised by Dr. Hayat Badr and Sally Saeed. Panels featured Dr. Abeer Salem and Dr. Hassan Marie, joined by prominent agency leaders Khaled El Masry, Managing Director of 199X Agency, and Adham Hossam, CEO of Marketers Squad, reinforcing the strong connection between academic learning and industry expectations.</p>

										<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>The Broadcasting Department at the Faculty of Mass Communication, October University for Modern Sciences and Arts (MSA) organized the graduation screening of documentary film projects on Sunday, January 11, 2026, presented by Grad Two students as part of the Fall 2025 semester requirements under the patronage of Prof. Dr. Amani Fahmy, Dean of the Faculty of Mass Communication.</p>



<p>The screening showcased 14 documentary films addressing a wide range of topics aligned with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), including good health and well-being, economic development, gender and human equality, and the preservation of cultural heritage. The projects explored impactful social and human themes such as connection across differences, healing from childhood trauma through art, youth identity challenges, empathy toward the elderly, the decline of traditional fishing professions, awareness of women’s psychological and physical health, and the historical roots of sculpture in ancient Egyptian civilization.</p>



<p>The discussion and evaluation session was conducted by a distinguished judging panel, including external examiners Director Mohamed Rabie and Director Ahmed Abdel Salam, who provided in-depth professional feedback on cinematography, directing, storytelling, and editing techniques.</p>



<p>The panel also included Dr. Noha Samir, Head of the Broadcasting Department, who served as the internal examiner, offering academic and artistic assessment of the students’ work.</p>



<p>The projects were supervised by Assoc. Prof. Reham Salah El-Din, Director of the Quality Unit, and Ms. Habiba El-Sherbiny, Assistant Lecturer in the Radio and Television Department. The department extends special thanks to Prof. Maha ElTarabishi for attending the screening and for her continuous support.</p>



<p>Special recognition was awarded to Roaa’s short film and Mohamed Hany, whose projects demonstrated notable creative potential. Plans are currently underway to support the submission of their work to local and international film festivals.</p>]]></content:encoded>

The festival stood as a testament to academic excellence, creativity, and strong industry engagement.</p>



<p>The event featured 24 innovative projects developed by 78 talented students, with the dedicated support and supervision of 20 faculty members and teaching assistants. The showcased work reflected a wide range of disciplines, including market research, strategic communication, creative design, and social marketing, highlighting both the depth and diversity of the department’s academic output.</p>



<p>A key highlight of the festival was the opportunity for students to present their projects to industry professionals from 199x Agency. The Faculty was honored to welcome Mr. Khaled Mamdouh, Managing Director, Mr. Ahmed Hassan, Creative Director, and Ms. Merihan Ayman, People and Culture Manager at 199x Agency, whose collective expertise, professional insights, and constructive feedback greatly enriched the students’ experience.<br>The presentations received high praise, with the agency commending the “exceptional” level of talent and professionalism demonstrated by the students. In a notable outcome, several participants were officially selected to join the 199x Agency as interns, marking a significant professional milestone and reaffirming the Faculty’s commitment to preparing graduates who are well-equipped for the creative industry.</p>

<p>Lina received the award for her podcast “Etkalemy”, which was presented as part of the festival held under the theme “A Voice That Changes… Stories to Combat Violence Against Women.” The podcast stood out for its professional approach, strong narrative structure, and impactful treatment of a critical social issue.</p>



<p>The First University Podcast Festival served as a competitive platform that brought together Mass Communication students from universities across Egypt, aiming to support emerging talent in podcasting and encourage the production of high-quality audio content that addresses influential societal topics. The festival featured a wide range of submissions across multiple categories and was evaluated by a distinguished panel of academics and media professionals specializing in digital media and audio production.</p>



<p>This achievement was accomplished under the academic supervision of Dr. Amira Dakroury, a media professional, television correspondent, and specialist in social media, whose guidance and support played a key role in the project’s success and professional execution.</p>

The workshop was held under the supervision of Dr. Samar Galal, Head of the Journalism Department, and hosted Haidi Tarek, radio presenter and audio content creator.</p>



<p>The workshop aimed to introduce students to the fundamentals of podcasting, including how to select and develop an idea and transform it into complete, publishable audio content. Students were guided through the essential stages of podcast production, covering preparation techniques, scriptwriting, voice delivery, and recording skills.</p>



<p>The session witnessed full attendance from enrolled students, who actively participated in the practical segment of the workshop. During this hands-on component, students recorded short podcast episodes based on their own ideas, allowing them to experience the podcast production process step by step.</p>

The short film “Like a Feather” , directed by student Yasmin Ahmed under the supervision of Dr. Noha Samir and Mr. Louay Fahmy, won first place.</p>



<p>Additionally, the campaign “Solution 108” secured third place in the campaigns category. The project was produced by students Jasmin Ashraf, Mariam Nader, Yara Abdel Halim, and Farah Osama, under the guidance of Dr. Hayat Badr and Ms. Sally Saeed.</p>



<p>The event also honored the Dean of the Faculty, Prof. Dr. Amani Fahmy. Prof. Dr. Suzanne El-Kalini, Chair of the Media Committee, praised the students’ work, noting its continued growth and excellence year after year. The event is organized by National Film Administration of China in cooperation with the Embassy of the People&#8217;s Republic of China in Cairo, as part of strengthening cultural and cinematic cooperation between Egypt and China. The event also coincides with the celebration of the 70th anniversary of Egyptian–Chinese diplomatic relations.</p>



<p>The university delegation comprised 12 male and female students, accompanied by Dr. Mery Habib, General Coordinator of the Radio Platforms Program, Teaching Assistant Dawlat Ali, and Ms. Eman Al-Ahl, from the Public Relations Department.</p>



<p>The students’ participation in this international cultural event reflects the Faculty’s continuous commitment to providing its students with opportunities to explore global cinematic experiences, engage with the international film industry, and gain direct exposure to major film festivals and artistic events.</p>
