نظمت كلية العلوم الإدارية، بالتعاون مع وحدة تكافؤ الفرص وعدم التمييز بجامعة أكتوبر للعلوم الحديثة والآداب (MSA)، فعالية بعنوان “تكافؤ الفرص من أجل التميز المؤسسي”.

وقد ألقى الجلسة المهندس خالد محمد مصطفى، وكيل أول وزارة التخطيط والتنمية الاقتصادية سابقًا، وذلك في إطار الأنشطة الأكاديمية والمجتمعية بجامعة MSA.

وشهدت الفعالية مشاركة عدد من القيادات الأكاديمية البارزة بجامعة MSA، من بينهم منسق وحدة تكافؤ الفرص وعدم التمييز بجامعة MSA وعميد كلية اللغات، وعميد كلية العلوم الإدارية، وعميد كلية الفنون والتصميم، ورئيس وحدة تكافؤ الفرص ووكيل الكلية لشؤون خدمة المجتمع وتنمية البيئة، ووكيل الكلية لشؤون الطلاب، وأعضاء مجلس الوحدة بكلية العلوم الإدارية.

كما استضافت الجلسة عددًا من أعضاء هيئة التدريس من كلية العلوم الإدارية، وكلية اللغات، وكلية الإعلام.

وهدفت الفعالية إلى تعريف شريحة واسعة من الطلاب الملتحقين بعدد من البرامج الأكاديمية بالكلية بمفهوم تكافؤ الفرص، مما أسهم في حضور مجموعة متنوعة ومتميزة من المشاركين.

وسلطت الجلسة الضوء على الدور الحيوي لتكافؤ الفرص والتنوع والشمول في تعزيز الأداء المؤسسي، ودعم التنمية المستدامة، وتحقيق التميز المؤسسي في كل من القطاعين العام والخاص.

وتناولت الجلسة بشكل تفصيلي مفهوم تكافؤ الفرص، وأهميته، وسبل تطبيقه، ودوره في المؤسسات المعاصرة.
كما ناقشت عددًا من المحاور الرئيسية، من بينها:

التجربة المصرية في تطبيق المفهوم من منظورَي القطاع الخاص والحكومة.
العلاقة بين التنوع والشمول والأداء المؤسسي.
المساواة بين الجنسين والتمكين في بيئة العمل.
دور السياسات العامة في الحد من التمييز.
تنمية رأس المال البشري والنمو المؤسسي المستدام.
القيادة والحوكمة الأخلاقية في خلق بيئات عمل شاملة.
التحديات التي تواجه تطبيق تكافؤ الفرص داخل المؤسسات.
مساهمة السياسات الشاملة في تعزيز الابتكار والإنتاجية واندماج الموظفين.
دور الجامعات في تعزيز الوعي المجتمعي والمسؤولية المؤسسية.

وعكست الفعالية التزام جامعة MSA المستمر بتعزيز الوعي والشمول والتمكين المجتمعي من خلال حوار أكاديمي ومهني فعّال.

نظمت وحدة تكافؤ الفرص وعدم التمييز بجامعة أكتوبر للعلوم الحديثة والآداب (MSA)، بالتعاون مع كلية الهندسة، فعالية مؤثرة بعنوان: “التصميم من أجلها: تمكين المرأة من خلال التصميم العمراني الشامل”.

قدمت الجلسة الدكتورة نرمين نوفل والدكتورة الشيماء جلال، المدرستان بقسم الهندسة المعمارية، حيث سلطتا الضوء على الدور الحيوي للتصميم العمراني الشامل في خلق بيئات أكثر أمانًا وعدالة، بما يسهم في تمكين المرأة.

وأكدت المتحدثتان أهمية تحويل المساحات العمرانية اليومية إلى بيئات تشعر فيها المرأة بالأمان والظهور والمشاركة الكاملة، إذ تؤثر هذه التوجهات الشاملة بشكل مباشر في حركة المرأة، ومشاركتها الاقتصادية، ورفاهيتها العامة.

وتناولت الجلسة عددًا من المحاور الرئيسية، من بينها:

أنظمة النقل المراعية لاحتياجات المرأة.
الحدائق والمساحات الترفيهية الأكثر أمانًا وشمولًا.
دور المشاركة المجتمعية في تشكيل البيئات العامة.

كما أبرزت المناقشة الأثر الاقتصادي الأوسع للتصميم الشامل، حيث إن توفير مساحات عامة آمنة وداعمة يشجع على زيادة مشاركة المرأة في سوق العمل والحياة المجتمعية، بما يسهم في تحقيق التنمية والاستدامة المجتمعية.

وشهدت الفعالية تفاعلًا ملحوظًا من أعضاء مجتمع جامعة MSA، من الطلاب والعاملين من مختلف الكليات، الذين ساهموا في إثراء الحوار بآراء ورؤى متنوعة تدعم مستقبلًا أكثر شمولًا وعدالة.

نظمت جامعة أكتوبر للعلوم الحديثة والآداب (MSA) دورة تدريبية حول “تصميم البرامج الأكاديمية” بالتعاون مع الهيئة القومية لضمان جودة التعليم والاعتماد (NAQAAE)، وذلك في إطار التزام الجامعة المستمر بتطوير العملية التعليمية وتعزيز جودة التعليم.

تم تقديم الدورة من خلال مركز ضمان الجودة والاعتماد بالتعاون مع وحدة التعليم والتعلم، حيث هدفت إلى تنمية المهارات الأكاديمية والمهنية لأعضاء هيئة التدريس في مجال تصميم وتطوير البرامج الأكاديمية.

ركز التدريب على أحدث المنهجيات الخاصة بتصميم البرامج الأكاديمية بما يتوافق مع المعايير الأكاديمية الحديثة ومتطلبات الاعتماد، إلى جانب تعزيز فهم المشاركين لمخرجات التعلم المستهدفة ومواءمتها مع احتياجات سوق العمل.

تعكس هذه المبادرة جهود جامعة MSA المستمرة للارتقاء بجودة التعليم وتمكين الكوادر الأكاديمية، بما يتماشى مع أفضل الممارسات والمعايير الدولية.

MSA University Launches Climate Simulators Workshop to Advance Sustainability in Academic Training

October University for Modern Sciences and Arts (MSA) launched a new series of academic and training workshops with a specialized session titled Climate Simulators. The workshop was organized and presented by Dr. Sarah Noaman, Assistant Professor of Interior Architecture under the supervision of Professor Dr. Doaa Salman, Deputy director of the Quality Assurance and Accreditation Center. It marked the beginning of a broader initiative to integrate sustainability-focused practices into academic training.

The workshop introduced academic staff, students, and researchers to the importance of climate simulation tools as a powerful driver of sustainability. Discussions focused on analyzing environmental and climatic conditions affecting the built environment, raising awareness of the relationship between climate change and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), and enhancing students’ ability to integrate advanced technology into their academic and research projects.

Dr. Sarah Noaman delivered an interactive presentation covering the mechanisms and functions of climate simulation software, an introduction to global temperature trends and their impact on human wellbeing, and challenges and scenarios related to climate change. Participants engaged in hands-on activities, experimenting with simulation tools to better understand their role in climate and environmental preservation.

The event underscored MSA University’s commitment to equipping academic staff and students with cutting-edge skills while connecting them to global practices in sustainable design. It represented the first step in a broader initiative to strengthen the quality of the educational process, support accreditation standards, and prepare the university community to address future environmental and professional challenges.

High-Level Academic Visit Strengthens Cooperation Between MSA University and Al Ain University (AAU), UAE

Reflecting October University for Modern Sciences and Arts (MSA)’s commitment to expanding academic cooperation and building effective partnerships with educational institutions regionally and internationally, the university had the honor of welcoming H.E. Prof. Dr. Ghaleb El Refae, President of Al Ain University (AAU), UAE, in a visit aimed at reinforcing academic and research collaboration.

H.E. Prof. Dr. Ghaleb El Refae was welcomed by H.E. Prof. Dr. Nader Nader Elbokle, President of October University for Modern Sciences and Arts (MSA), and Eng. Engy Mansour, General Director of the Human Resources Department at MSA, where the meeting featured constructive discussions on areas of mutual cooperation, developing academic programs, and supporting scientific research, contributing to the enhancement of educational quality.

The visit also included a tour of several university faculties and laboratories, where the guest observed the advanced facilities and infrastructure of the university, reflecting its vision to keep pace with developments in higher education and meet labor market needs.

MSA University Announces a Strategic Partnership to Strengthen Egypt’s Kafala System

October University For Modern Sciences And Arts (MSA) has announced a new strategic partnership with Lebaladna Foundation for Development and Yalla Kafala Foundation, marking a significant step toward supporting and enhancing the Kafala system in Egypt. This initiative aims to raise national awareness on the importance of family-based care and the vital role of both families and society in supporting children deprived of parental care.

The announcement was made in the presence of:
Dr. Nawal El-Degwi, Chair of the University’s Board of Trustees, Prof. Dr. Nader El Bokle The President of MSA
and Eng. Ingy Mansour, General Manager of the Human Resources Department.

The event featured an extensive discussion led by media host Doaa Farouk, who explored the importance of the Kafala system, the challenges faced by families, and the pivotal role students and the wider community can play in promoting a culture of compassion, inclusion, and social responsibility.
The session witnessed notable interaction and strong engagement from attendees and MSA students.

During the event, several key figures supporting the Kafala ecosystem were honored, most notably Rasha Makki, in recognition of her impactful contributions to encouraging families to join the system and promoting societal awareness on responsible family-based care.

MSA announced a series of upcoming joint workshops, community activities, and media campaigns aimed at expanding awareness of Kafala nationwide.

In addition, the Faculty of Mass Communication will encourage students to develop graduation projects focused on Kafala, emphasizing its societal value.

In a pioneering approach, the University also revealed plans to embed Kafala-related content within academic curricula, aiming to cultivate a deeper understanding of community responsibility among students.

MSA’ s Faculty Of Physical Therapy Celebrates Heart Health and Diabetes Awareness with Sports Day

In celebration of Heart Health and Diabetes Awareness Month, the Faculty of Physical Therapy at October University for Modern Sciences and Arts (MSA), in collaboration with the Social and Sports Activities Department, organized a dynamic Sports Day on campus. The initiative aimed to promote physical activity, raise awareness about cardiovascular health and diabetes prevention, and inspire students and staff to adopt healthier lifestyles.

In the precense of Prof. Dr. Olfat Diab, Dean of the Faculty of Physical Therapy, and Eng. Engy Mansour, The Director of the Human Resources Department, highlighting the leadership’s support for student wellness and engagement.

The event featured a wide variety of sporting activities, including:

Running Marathon
Cycling
Volleyball, Basketball, and Football Matches

Beyond the sporting events, the day incorporated essential health awareness services. In partnership with the Lebaladna Foundation and the Ibrahim Badran Foundation, students from the Faculty of Physical Therapy provided free blood pressure and blood sugar screenings for all participants. Additionally, students from the Faculty of Dentistry contributed by offering comprehensive dental check-ups to students and university staff.

The Sports Day concluded with a special ceremony honoring the winners of all individual and team competitions. Organized by the Social and Sports Activities Department, the ceremony celebrated the participants’ dedication, sportsmanship, and outstanding performance, highlighting the university’s commitment to holistic health, wellness, and community engagement.

October University for Modern Sciences and Arts (MSA) and The PGCert and Fellowship in Higher Education Unit celebrated the success of being the first and only university in Egypt to graduate 267 of its qualified teaching staff with two certificates; the PGCert in Higher Education from the Universities of Greenwich and Bedfordshire, and the Fellowship in Higher Education from the Advance Higher Education in the UK.
