Carbon Footprint Reduction

October University for Modern Sciences and Arts (MSA) held a workshop on “Carbon Footprint Reduction” on April 29, 2024, in partnership with the Faculty of Science, Cairo University’s Centre of Hazard Mitigation, Environmental Studies, and Research (CHMESR). The workshop aligned with MSA’s environmental protection and remediation plan, its mission to become a green university, and its commitment to promoting sustainable development through its three pillars of environment, society, and economy.

The goal of the workshop was to raise awareness among MSA staff and students regarding the definition of carbon footprint, methods for measuring it, and strategies for reducing it in order to achieve a clean and sustainable environment. Miss Samaa Ahmed, the head of CHMESR’s Carbon Footprint and Sustainability Unit and an EEAA-accredited environmental specialist, delivered the presentation.
