MSA Fashion Design Students Present Graduation Projects Inspired by Sustainability and Arab Heritage

The Fashion Design Department at the Faculty of Arts and Design, October University for Modern Sciences and Arts (MSA) recently held this year’s graduation project discussions under the patronage of Prof. Dr. Tarek Saleh, Dean of the Faculty of Arts & Design. The projects were developed around the Sustainability Goals, serving as the primary conceptual framework for the students’ work.

The design identity of this year’s projects draws inspiration from Arab heritage, blending traditional elements with a contemporary vision. Students explored influences from architecture, motifs, and traditional clothing to create innovative, sustainable designs that reflect both cultural richness and forward-looking creativity.

The projects were evaluated by a distinguished jury committee, including Professor Dr. Yasser Eid, Head of the Ready-Made Garments Department at the Faculty of Applied Arts, Helwan University; fashion designer Sheim Al-Jabi; Professor Dr. Hadeel Farahat, Head of the Fashion Design Department and Vice Dean of the Faculty; fashion designer Dr. Mohamed Khafagy; Dr. Dalia Abou El-Saoud; and Dr. Soha Rafiq, who provided specialized professional feedback to guide and enrich the students’ work.
